Esperanza

"Every prayer starts by putting your heels together.
We pray thusly each day, so that the Under Foot's steps
may subdue the suffering before us, and save the
faithful who tread in His wake."

Esperanza, a village missionary, spends her days guiding
her flock. One day, she receives a report that there are
heretics lurking in her small community. The villagers are
uneasy about the possibility of wolves in their midst, but
Esperanza only smiles. She turns her gaze to the distance.
Is she seeking someone out, or communing with her god?
She opens her mouth and speaks.

"Hmm. Which do you think it is?"
