Deck Creation

Building a Deck

A standard deck consists of any combination of 40 cards from your selected class and Neutral cards.
If you're new to Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, we recommend using the Deck Portal to build decks from scratch or copy popular decks and customize them to your liking.

Use Vials to Craft Cards

Obtain vials from missions or by liquefying extra cards. Use the vials to create cards of your choosing.

Class Characteristics

All leaders, cards, and decks are associated with a class, each of which has its own unique characteristics.
Neutral cards can be used in any deck, while cards from other classes can only be used in a deck of that class.

  • Class: Forestcraft
Forestcraft specializes in adding Fairies and other low-cost cards to your hand, helping you play multiple cards in a turn to set up potent Combo abilities.
Forestcraft focuses on keeping your hand well-stocked, giving you plenty of gameplay options and making it perfect for those who prefer a more technical playstyle.
  • Class: Swordcraft
Swordcraft centers on deploying Knights and other Officer followers in great numbers, then strengthening them with other cards to turn the tide in your favor.
Swordcraft is ideal for both beginners who wish to grasp the basics of battle and more seasoned players looking to perfect their knowledge.
  • Class: Runecraft
Runecraft derives the majority of its power from spells and earth sigils.
Spellboost abilities activate whenever spell cards are played, while amulets with the Earth Sigil trait can be consumed to perform powerful Earth Rite abilities.
Runecraft will enchant players seeking a playstyle that stands out from the rest.
  • Class: Dragoncraft
Dragoncraft excels at using cards to increase your max play points, allowing you to play high-cost followers earlier in the game while charging up Overflow.
Once you have 7 or more max play points, Overflow becomes active, opening the floodgates for the heavy hitters.
Dragoncraft, with its many high-attack and high-defense followers, is an excellent choice for players who want to make a huge impression on the battlefield.
  • Class: Abysscraft
Abysscraft draws its power from your cemetery and your own leader's defense, paving the way for exhilarating and versatile strategies.
Use shadows from your cemetery to perform Necromancy abilities while reanimating fallen allies as Departed followers, then send the horde to drag your foes to the grave.
Abysscraft is a match made in the underworld for players who delight in setting up devilishly tricky plays and pitfalls.
  • Class: Havencraft
Havencraft boasts many cards that banish enemy followers or restore your leader's defense.
Make the most of your amulets—Countdown amulets have a delayed effect in exchange for big rewards, while amulets with Engage abilities can shake up the state of play at a moment's notice.
Havencraft is perfect for players who wish to control both the tempo of play and the battlefield itself.
  • Class: Portalcraft
Portalcraft is adept at using tokens and copying cards to bulk up its arsenal.
Use combinations of cards to create the best possible situation—play 0-cost Puppets in conjunction with other cards, or copy Artifacts in various ways and turn them on your foes.
Portalcraft is tailored to players who enjoy considering the interactions between cards to discover the optimal play.
  • Class: Neutral
Unlike other cards, Neutral cards can be used in any deck.
As a result, Neutral cards tend to have easy-to-use abilities that don't rely on synergy with other classes.
Neutral cards may be used in a multitude of ways, depending on what class they're paired with—experiment with combinations and experience their depth for yourself.

Card Types

There are three types of cards in Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond—followers, spells, and amulets.

  • Followers
These cards are the mainstay of most decks. Followers can attack other followers or the enemy leader. They can power up through evolution or super-evolution, which may trigger additional powerful abilities.
  • Spells
Spells activate immediately upon being played and are destroyed after their abilities take effect.
  • Amulets
Amulets cannot attack or be attacked. They remain on the field after being played and provide continuous support to other cards in battle.
